So, all this fuss with the little bitty versions of people, and gender swaps - that included even the gods running around looking stupid, has reminded me that we're all on equal footing here.  It's been nice to not just hole up in my room.

I've been a little sparse around the complex - school can keep you so busy!  I mentioned already that I've joined a school organization: I should explain.  I happened across a group of girls dancing after school in the gym a few weeks ago.  It was so different than the way we nymphs used to in the woods.  So much more attitude.  It turns out they were the school's 'dance team'.  I swear they have teams for everything at school : the girls even have them for going to the bathroom.

Anyways, I tried out and they all seemed very impressed - though I don't know what I did that was particularly impressive.  Cheryl, the team captain, said I have "natural dancer's grace".  I guess maybe that's an echo of what I used to be.

Practice has been almost every day, but I've been making lots of friends.  And I helped Scylla to try out.  It's been nice to have someone around who knows the truth about me...

We're working on a routine right now to Russian Roulette by Rihanna.  I love this music.  I think it's one of my favorite things about this place.

People at school are starting to talk about "Valentine's Day" now that it's February.  I don't think I get it.  I don't think I want to.

What is between my legs?

Oh my gods.

I'm supposed to go to dance practice tonight!

I think Eros mentioned something about a study group for the high schoolers today. Are we still on?

I'm anxious to get this stuff done, so we can have some fun during break.

We can do it at my place - I don't have any roommates.

I don't understand.

I don't understand what this place is, or how I got here.

Where are the forests? The grass? All I see is a forest of metal, and noise, and smoke. And smell.

What is an 'apartment'? And why do I have to adopt a new name? (I don't think 'Laurel' is funny, either). Who is this man who is going on about paperwork and 'high school'?

... I suppose in the end though, I don't care if I even get answers to those questions.

I'm free.

Everything else pales next to this.
